That's an actual person recognizing their internal lackings and genuinely wanting to improve themself A SUPER rare sight to see Most people can't even be honest with themselves about stuff like that

You think I’m being a dickhead but my humorous response should be a sign that you’re taking this too seriously. You are HARD identifying with your thoughts. You are not what you think, you are separate. The fact that you have intrusive or weird thoughts doesn’t really mean anything and you’re just creating a brain fog that does nothing for anyone and instead just builds up self doubt and anxiety. Let go.

He's describing an entire mindset/pattern of thoughts/how his brain is wired, rather than random intrusive thoughts To an extent, we are our thoughts. We're a combination of many things, and our conscious+subconscious thinking is a huge part of that Intrusive thoughts are 'intrusive' bc they aren't our own thoughts, or a part of our general neural wiring. They're just random, often alarming pop-ups.

Things such as what he described are a HUGE cause of many, many extremely pressing current issues. Mindset swaps, expanding one's perspective, and learning expanded empathy is extremely powerful. If more people worked to do so, society would begin moving in a good direction.

Now I'm curious, if you don't think that we are our consciousnesses, what do you think makes us who we are, beestboy?

If I went braindead and had no brain activity but was still alive, would you still call me beest boy?

No, I would not Maybe in the way like 'Aw that was beestboy 😔 may he rest in peace' I'm pretty firmly in the camp that higher brain-death = death
