This one isn’t even fully for oil tho

It kind of is for oil, mostly for Israel though. Iran is an energy superpower. Its not a coincidence that the two countries weve attacked in 2026 (Venezuela and Iran) have some of the largest oil reserves in the world

Tbf this is also a very nuanced topic. It’s partly a geopolitical move that has nothing to do with oil at all as well. China stated that they want their military fully capable and ready to invade Taiwan by/in 2027. Guess which year starts in a bit under 5 months? It is also their directly stated foreign policy that in order to invade Taiwan, they need the US distracted by at least 3-4 fronts outside of the US mainland. (cont in next reply)

Their explicit targets when giving examples of these fronts were Eastern Europe, Venezuela, and the Persian gulf. Well, Eastern Europe was covered when Russian invaded Ukraine. China has also been heavily invested in Venezuela and Iran, so that covers the other two. Add Taiwan and you have those 4 fronts. Given that there is less than a year until their target year to start trying to invade Taiwan, it makes sense that the US would try to get a head start on preventative measures. (cont again)

Venezuela got taken off the board for now, and being entrenched with Iran serves as a way to stall for an extended amount of time since China relies a good amount on Iranian oil. Since Taiwan is an island, China needs that oil for the necessary prolonged navy assault to gain a foothold on the island itself. So, ironically while going to war with Iran may seem like a step towards World War 3, it is actually a preventative measure against it

There’s a reason why the US has been trying to bundle getting an Iran and Ukraine peace deal at the same time. It would take both of China’s final chess pieces off the board for the time being, and all their military buildup and prep to invade Taiwan will have been wasted. At that point, it becomes a waiting game. China will inevitably collapse in several decades for the same reasons South Korea will inevitably collapse in the next 15-20 years

They know this better than anyone, so the ball is fully in China’s court the moment a peace deal is made in either of the aforementioned conflicts. They have 3 options. 1) Continue their active colonization and community enslavement efforts in Africa. 2) Launch an attack out of desperation and hope that the rest of the world massively fumbles strategically. 3) Accept defeat and die off

3 is probably the least likely. I think the decision between 1 and 2 also heavily hinges on the timing of natural disasters in Japan and the US. San Andreas fault goes at the right time for China? You can bet they’re invading Taiwan within that week if weather allows it. Same if the fault lines around Tokyo slip and cause massive damage in Japan too

“Enslave Africa”?? What on god’s earth are you talking about? The US and the West have enslaved the Global South, they bomb and murder everyone who refuses to obey them and hand over their natural resources. China and BRICs are an alliance of formerly colonized countries that want a fairer world.

Well you support NATO/ US military interests. And the US literally just passed a bill integrating their militaries with Israel. And literally every NATO power gives weapons and support for Israel to carry out their genocide.

I’m against imperialism in all forms, and I never said I supported the US, Israel, or China. I explained everything to you neutrally as a simple explanation of the geopolitics involved in the Iran and Venezuela decision making. You’re the one who chose to start slobbering all over China’s dih for some reason 💀

And NATO is a coalition of the Western colonial powers to maintain military and financial hegemony over the Global South, whom they keep trapped in a cycle of debt.

No I don’t. There’s a difference between telling you someone’s interests and agreeing with them. That bill also did not pass yet btw, it passed in the house. Additionally, it does not allow the joint command of troops, just the expansion sharing of tech which both militaries obviously already do. It’s a nothingburger headline that you clearly did not look into very much. Also why do you keep bringing up Israel? I was talking about Taiwan.

In what way is it NATO press release garbage? It’s a direct transcription of multiple speeches by Chinese officials brotherman. When I said that’s their official policy, it’s because it is, verbatim, their official policy. Last I checked China isn’t a part of NATO

Their military policy is literally verbatim “we will have our military ready to invade Taiwan by 2027”. Their words not mine or NATO’s. Do you think China and Taiwan just carry out exercises for the fun of it? When an official was asked about US involvement if they invaded, that’s when he said the statement about needing the US to be involved in other fronts to divide up resources. That’s just basic military strategy, how is that biased at all?

And in future conferences, when questioned about fronts where they expected conflict to break out, both US and Chinese officials agreed on the most likely spots being Venezuela, Iran, and Ukraine. They’re not officials for nothing man, that’s just the logical outcome and we all watched it happen in real time. Like I said, literally a completely neutral statement from both sides that I was just explaining to you to give you the geopolitical context

What other stuff the Africa part? You can economically colonize someone and make them entirely dependent on you without bloodshed. That’s how China has historically done things outside their own borders for centuries. That’s just their policy. The west uses bloodshed, and the east is more subtle. Except for a certain notable guy named Genghis Khan. He wasn’t very subtle 💀

Then what are you even disagreeing with me about 😭 it’s gotta be only the Africa thing because both the other options I gave are true too. China and Korea are both on the way to complete economic collapse due to a variety of reasons, primary the degradation of their workforce and because there’s too big a ratio of elderly to younger generations, and younger generations are being forced to work to pay for everything of the elderly which places immense strain on them

China was as poor as Sub saharan Africa when the PRC was established, they didnt colonize anyone, they are a colonized country. And btw, the Chinese debt trap is a myth. There are no instances of chinese asset seizure. They always give much more generous loans than the IMF

Like I was saying I think you’re just mad at NATO and took it out on me when I said something even remotely bad about China’s quiet oppression of Africa. When things get rough in China, I pray for whatever happens to the areas they have exclusive commercial control over in Africa. The resource extraction will be brutal just like it has been in the past when western powers did it too

I mean if you look at the stats it’s like that for the people in China who are able to afford international education too. There’s graphs you can look at of how many return to China now vs how many used to 10 years ago and their reasons for doing so. The trend is that it went from 90% never returning to now like 70% returning back to China. The reason wasn’t because they disliked where they got education from either, it was because they had obligations to fulfill at home to care for the elderly

No country would put so many resources into invading somewhere like Taiwan if they didn’t have to in order to survive. Taiwan, even just geographically, is a defensive stronghold. It will have to be the largest military operation in history, and likely go on for a month just to establish a tiny foothold on a beach unless there’s some incredible strategic move or incredible defensive failure. That’s grueling and bloody. It will be the costliest war in history, in money and blood

No country that is confident that it will survive the next century would risk that cost. They are fully aware of their position, so is the west. That’s why the west wants to wait it out, and why China wants to make progress now

Obviously there’s the political and historical reasons, but as far as survivability and economically, there is genuinely 0 benefit is being such staunch enemies with Taiwan due to their current production economy. It’s definitely extremely difficult for China and Taiwan to ever even consider becoming business partners, but it would be significantly less costly than going to war unless one side believes there is no future for them without going to war
