Romance is a nuanced and beautiful genre that touches on the most misunderstood aspect of humanity, love. The “spicy” smut books are dogshit slop intended for BookTok troglodytes. There’s a difference. Be pretentious, romance is losing its meaning.

People frequently use troglodyte interchangeably with the r slur. Just because it isn’t directly that word doesn’t mean it’s not being used that way. And OP was using more direct slurs in the comments that have been removed.
