The problem isn’t destroying books; that’s irrelevant. The real problem is when the AI version of the book becomes the “normal” version as we increase access to AI more and more. Eventually, history can be easily rewritten and propaganda easily embedded
They’re cutting up books to train ai. THEYRE RUINING RARE BOOKS TO TRAIN FUCKING AI!

I do fear it’s all the problem. We are rapidly heading into F451 territory. Destroying old books is not irrelevant. Of course the deeper implications are more serious, but it’s definitely not one or the other.

Destroying books is irrelevant?? There are still huge pieces of history missing because people burned down the Alexandra library destroying all the historical books/ documents inside
