I think it’s this and also the fact that there’s a lot of scenarios that people fail to consider when discussing assault. Coercion for one thing but also people often overlook cases of partner/spouse r*pe because there’s this belief in “consent by default” when it comes to relationships

No that definitely is true but also regular ass men just don’t understand consent and might unintentionally commit sexual abuse

There’s a dude that lives close by and he’s a registered sex offender and it has all his charges on line and he changes his appearance when he takes his pic. Shaves his beard and head. And then lets it all grow out again. His crimes are nasty. More than one I can’t believe he’s out. And walking around, he acts all friendly with all the neighbors too. wtf

It’s not crazy. That’s literally what studies of DV, SA, and rape crimes committed by men show. It’s 14 victims per offender on average (amongst college aged men), so yes it is absolutely a small pool of monsters who are like sharks that smell blood in the water and have unfortunately perfected their methods of luring in victims

Yep we rarely actually are able to bring assaulters to justice. Unfortunately for every assaulter or rapist there is usually 2-3 guys (and occasionally girls) willing to excuse or even cover for their behavior

I do just want to add that, as a guy, I know several men who were accused of rape and are innocent Accusation /= automatic truth
