I feel like my point is being confused. I’m not saying false allegations don’t happen, they do happen they are just incredibly rare. Which is why when a man is constantly paranoid about being falsely accused I worry what he has done to think that
When a man says he’s scared of being falsely accused I automatically assume he’s done some shit that can be considered assault and is scared of being called out. You are SIGNIFICANTLY more likely to be raped than you are to be falsely accused.

Here’s my two cents. I understand where you’re coming from, but I think a lot of guys just have straight up undiagnosed anxiety disorders

So when black people get afraid of the police, do you say that means they’re probably criminals?

I am not getting mad at genuine false allegations, I am not blaming people who have been genuinely falsely accused.

Yea as a neurodivergent guy that struggles with this exactly, this whole thread is like a nightmare to read. Literally every worst fear confirmed 😭 but at the same time I fully understand OP’s reasoning. gotta suffer in silence boys, just like usual

You’re accusing people who have fears of being falsely accused and saying they’re probably guilty for having such a fear

That’s like saying someone who’s scared of getting cheating on is likely cheating themselves. It’s just wrong and hurtful

Hopefully by articulating it like this we can move the conversation forward into something more productive

Nah bro look at how everyone’s reacting. It’s just what happens when men express their feelings that don’t fit into the gender roles society puts on us. You say “hey I’m actually dealing with a lot of anxiety about being accused” then get accused lmfao. Literally the playbook: show emotion, get emotion thrown back at you, have more reason to not show emotion.

People are upvoting my comment, which indicates that they just didn’t realize it was largely coming from a place of low self-esteem. Because men having low self-esteem is not really something we expect or account for, socially (aside from when it is treated as a character flaw.)

There is no system of oppression working against men

There absolutely is. Men get 60% longer prison sentences compared to women for the same crime. They suffer from police brutality 16x more often. Then add in female only scholarships, and pro female affirmative action in colleges, despite women already being the vast majority in colleges. And of course the “future is female” propaganda that is fed down every males throat since childhood. And there’s so much more but I don’t have space to type about it
