I have a friend and we have the ability to veto each other‘s relationships. Is that normal? We are a guy and a girl btw

I think it’s kinda weird. Like having opinions about your friend’s partners is normal but their word shouldn’t be the only thing you listen to. If you love the person that’s that

So it’s only in case of a bad relationship like one of our partners are hurting us we don’t just use it if we don’t like someone the other dates

No, i think getting an opinion about your relationship from a friend is normal but "vetoing" each other's relationships is weird and invasive actually. There should be a boundary when it comes to that

Okay I understand some more, however I don't think veto should be the appropriate word or action to do. It sounds like you have authority over each other’s relationships. It would be better to say that you can both speak freely about each other's relationships and advise them about the toxicity of their relationship. You both shouldn't be "controlling" each other.
