why is being racist a surprising dealbreaker for white guys? a white guy i was talking too literally started saying the n word and i immediately cut him off. he got mad and said im being "sensitive" bc im "not even black" like wtf

hi im oop and i did NOT expect that response. it's honestly extremely concerning that some of them managed to get into college with this mindset. especially the ones saying if you say it to non black people / in a non derogatory way, it automatically means you're not a racist piece of shit. not being able to think critically and see how thats reflects on your character is wild to me.

I’ve also had that thought when I was going back and forth with them. I go to a pwi so I know people who do this personally and I try to correct them. But it honestly just gets to a point.

i think its intense narcissism. instead of being able to admit they are wrong and stop saying it, they double down. the attention they get from saying it and making people angry simultaneously feeds their ego while satisfying their jealousy they feel by just not being able to say it
