So this is about what I expected for results, but i'm curious for why you all think this is? (this article is specifically about tolerating people speaking on campuses with differing political views fyi)
Male students show more tolerance for political enemies than females show for their own allies
I feel like society in recent times has encouraged women to be loud and in charge while encouraging men to sit back and listen (mostly younger generations) so maybe men are more willing to debate topics and understand a viewpoint even if they don’t agree with it

Women are less tolerant of their political allies than men are to their political opponents according to a recent study. These results are unsurprising. Women tend to collectivize their opinions more than men do.

Chesterton was never against free speech. He was an avid debater. His definition of tolerance was not banning speech, but he also believed that ideas that are opposing to your own should be contested.

I heard a saying “if you can’t say one good thing about the other side and one bad thing about your side then you’re politically brainwashed” and it’s true

I'm not, this isn't related to any class I'm taking, in fact I have no interest in taking one on this topic

That’s true, and frankly I’m tired of being asked to listen to people who would never even consider listening to my questions.

Also fun fact he was well liked by a lot of people including his ideological opponents. So he also didn’t mean hate or otherwise mistreat people with differing opinions, just don’t back down from your own or compromise your beliefs.
