Propaganda doesn’t have to be centralized or systemic to still be propaganda

Yes it does

Not really, it just has to be a concerted effort to change or reinforce certain opinions

Concerted effort by who? What government or organization is doing this intentionally

Mens rights groups, the red pill community, MGTOW groups. All separate and each made up of multiple groups but with a shared goal thats how you get propaganda.

We are watering down the definition of propaganda then. Propaganda has always been an organized effort, usually done by a government, to change public opinion. You cannot just claim that any media is propaganda, those are just men sharing their opinions on the internet. If that’s propaganda then Christian’s on the internet are spreading boatloads of self made propaganda lmao

I think in the age of social media the definition of propaganda might have to change because videos by these creators could be promoted by people with power to influence the algorithm and they could be spreading propaganda without knowing just because what they say aligns with what the government wants us to hear

Christians DO spread boatloads of self-made propaganda dude, that’s like, part of proselytizing. The WORD “Propaganda” comes from the Catholic Church, it’s widespread use literally comes from “Congregatio de Propaganda Fide” (Latin for Congregation to Propagate Faith) which was a church committee founded to spread the faith, and instruct would-be proselytizers on how to convince people. Which evolved into the modern usage.

That is one group deciding what to spread as fact, that’s not what’s happening with manosphere content, with that stuff it’s coming from many different sources and they aren’t organized. If you think that is what’s happening please tell me what organization or government is leading this

The modern usage of the word propaganda does require an organized or systematic effort, but it doesn’t specify the size of the group doing it. It could be 5 dudes, it could be 50,000 dudes. As long as all of them have discussed it, and all sought to spread the same ideology, especially if they do it through manipulation tactics, then it’s propaganda.

Again that’s not what’s happening. These guys all have different versions of their ideology, they have not discussed it

They are just men posting their opinion unfortunately. There is no organized effort to change our interpretation of fact

I’m not talking about the little guys, the ones in the comments. I’m talking about the big guys, the “influencers.” The ones whose names are known far and wide. The ones who all appear on each other’s streams and videos like Marvel movie cameos. THOSE dudes are clearly organized, even if loosely so. And they don’t all spread the same exact propaganda, but that’s like saying Stalin and Trotsky weren’t engaged in communist propaganda because they had different ideas of what communism meant.

The outer reaches of the manosphere are the propagandized, the big manosphere influencers are propagandists. Not the same role in the dynamic.

They aren’t tho? I wasn’t talking about guys “in the comments” I was talking about guys like Andrew Tate, the whatever podcast guy, Myron, Nick Fuentes, sneaking, clav, they all have very different beliefs when you really start to dissect their ideology.

They all hate women, and they all want to push an ideology of hating women. They have different reasons they give, they have different methods they use to convince their audiences, but it’s misogyny all the way down. Especially when they all hang out together on camera all the time. You think they ain’t talking to each other off-camera too? You think they ain’t got major interests backing them? I got a bridge to sell you.

That’s just a cope you know those guys all have wildly different beliefs that they push to their audience, and they haven’t all hung out, that’s mostly just your assumption
