man here, do you understand why women say this? i feel like if you did it wouldn’t really be a double standard. though I do think the phrase alienates young men and leaves them to turn to bad influences.
Am I the only person who thinks “I hate men” is a red flag? Doesn’t matter what anyone did to them. Doesn’t matter if they “don’t actually hate men”. It’s immature and a double standard

I get why they say it, but I’m still not interested in any kind of relationship with a woman like that.

I don’t think any man doesn’t know the reasoning behind it, the issue is that it’s just not good reasoning. There’s no point to saying that, it’s not coherent logically, and it is pretty offensively generalizing. This type of viewpoint has been demonized almost universally except for this, replace “men” with any other race religion or gender and it’s rightfully condemned. I don’t mean to say this in a “woah is me men r so oppressed” type of why but it is hypocritical to expect men to accept this

I don’t think it’s a good thing for men to empathize with the hatred others feel for us

They say it because bad experiences, prejudice against men, or I suppose it could be something else?

If she says she hates a demographic I’m a part of, she’s saying she hates me. Sorry not sorry 😁

As a woman thank you In response to your second point, I think that’s why it’s important to teach boys about misogyny and how it affects women from a young age

If boys grow up understanding women’s struggles and wanting to support them, not only will they understand why women say they hate men but it will also lead to women saying that less frequently due to men becoming more feminist in general

I do not have the ability to say “I hate women” because of my trauma I have due to women. It’s fine I don’t really want to but there definitely is a double standard. Furthermore, why would I want to surround myself with someone that is not kind to be around?

Just grow up and stop hating people. Nobody gets a special pass to be hateful.
