if you can’t read a book unless it has smut then you’re not a reader, you’re a porn addict idc idcccc

Read Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquival. It is slightly horny and has magical realism elements but it’s also just a really good modern classic book.

Honestly, just look for YA authors. They tend to focus on story, still have romance, but only allude to sex or include a singular scene on one page 19 chapters in instead of 90% of the book (Current personal favorites are Red Queen, Cruel Prince/Elfhame series in general, and it’s less fantasy more regency with fae is The Rose Bargain, but the sequel won’t come out until next year 😭)

Not sure if it’s “high” fantasy, but I’ve always found the Inheritance Cycle by Christopher Paolini to be a win

The lord of the rings is lowkey a great read for fantasy wise and the game of thrones series it can be graphic though

Try once upon a broken heart. It’s not high fantasy but it’s great storytelling

The Queens Assassin duelogy is also good but it’s mostly romance with a few magic elements sprinkled in
