I don’t know if this is the right place to put this, but I need advice. I want to get back into writing my novel in my spare time, but I can’t because I feel the need to change things I’ve already wrote. But when I do that I feel guilty. What should I do?

I would say make a copy. You could copy and paste what you already have into a second document so you can make the changes that you want while keeping the original the same. Whichever version you finish first is the proper version.

Imma be so honest I started from scratch at one point. Still have the same details and whatnot - but when world building changes dictated a change in prose, i rewrote it
