i think the main issue was the ref booked paredes, VAR intervened because a player was incorrectly booked from a dive

It’s not at all why people are complaining… we don’t live in a world where every flop will be caught and penalized. The reason this one was penalized was due to paredes initially receiving a yellow even though embolo completely and entirely flopped. therefore, it was OVERTURNED, not just given outright. lock in for me

yeah the unfortunate thing is the ref had to decide between booking a player who didn't commit a foul or giving a second yellow for a dive, he can't just wave off the yellow on paredes
