
That’s where you’re wrong, investment isn’t necessarily a bad thing when FIFA loses money on everything they do besides the main men’s tournament. It all depends on the implementation. UEFA refusing to listen to anything and threatening boycotts shows how stuck up they are. UEFA and their countries have sold out before in other ways, they’re just hypocrites
Of course UEFA isn’t perfect, but for a tournament and organization that are supposedly non-profit, FIFA and Infantino are doing all they can to open the door for underhanded corruption. We can’t expect hundreds of millions of dollars from private investors to not have an effect on an already corrupted organization. Anyone who thinks this is good-faith investment back into the sport is naive.
