The reason the England-France game was such peak football is because it was a game where two teams played for the sake of playing and no other reason. Every player had confidence, intensity, and joy with no worry about trophies or titles.

Literally what fuckin game were you watching😂and yes games where both teams are just there to play the game for the sake of playing. I do enjoy that because both teams walked off the field smiling and embracing. They had a great time playing cause neither of them was worried about it. It created a beautiful environment

Mate they were still playing for placement in the tournament it just wasn’t as big of a deal. It’s not a friendly. But they put more focus on enjoying it rather than forcing rivalry. They’re also two more respectful nations than Argentina.

Neither side cared about third place/the game in general. Meaningless game, hence no real intensity or effort. Who brought up Argentina as well? Swear down exposing urself here as another part of the casual hivemind that have fallen for the smear campaign

Seeing as it was one of the highest scoring wc games of all time I’d say there was some incentive to play, and a 0-5 to 4-5 come back is absolutely intensity. Also it’s not a smear hive mind campaign if every aspect of Argentina is horrible. Horrible economy, rampant racism, blatant corruption. You’re just mad Messi fucking ghosted against Spain when Ronaldo had more shots n goal against them 😂 the only player who actually did better against Spain than Ronaldo was emi Martinez

There was no real incentive to play as they were eliminated. Can’t get that point through your thick skull tho 😭 Selective performative outrage abt 1 country while ignoring every other countries dark sides as well. Insecure Ronaldo fan bringing Messi into a convo abt the 3rd place match 😹 Bragging abt a game where he scored a pen and another goal was let in due to GK error. Keep defending that rapist tho 😹
