I feel like it’s somewhat like an orange card, like right in between and depending on the ref’s decision since it wasn’t really intentional but it was sort of reckless

It wasnt reckless bc he wasn’t looking at the ball or the player at all, it was simply a natural landing of his foot being off balance without intent. The fact that the ref found his cards in the locker room at halftime is the most egregious error.

Thank you. Also people forget players attitudes impact these calls. Balogun was flopping, whining and bitching all game. The second he showed any reason to get carded the refs were going to do so.

It’s doesn’t matter if it’s intentional tho in the rule books, that is reckless and could’ve broken his foot

See my comment those orange cards ( gray area) you refer to exist and those then fall in line with your overall behavior for the game.

Flopping bruh he was being fouled by Bosnian players, Bosnia should have had several yellows from fouling balogun leading up to the red card

Brother you can look at all those first half instances. He went down due to a natural and clean tackle and start swimming on the fucking ground whoring for a call. Then continually talks trash. He does this at Monaco he has a reputation. He is a great player he will never get the benefit of doubt because he chooses to walk that line.
