I understand the call on Balogoat but that’s not a red imo can someone rationalize it for me he started out by playing on the ball and the Bosnian player awkwardly collided I could see a yellow but a straight red is kind of crazy

Based on the rules studs into an opponents foot is a reckless play no matter the situation even if it didn’t have intent. It’s harsh but based on the rules a clear reds. Now ppl have been saying why didn’t messi get a red, and my answer is idk why Messi didn’t . Based off the rulebook it is a good call, but in my personal opinion it’s soft

The main thing here is the Messi call. If they don’t call something consistent across the board how can there be guidelines for rules
