i genuinely believe that no job is ever worth a life and it’s better to stay in during a snow storm. am i the problem? am i thinking backwards?

I think that if you signed up for a job that requires you to be available in harsh weather conditions than you did that to yourself and it is a problem if you can’t preform the job you agreed to. I don’t think someone working a desk job should drive a half hour in a snow storm just to do something they can do from home

I was made to sign a remote work contract two days before the storm because we “provide an essential service” (kind of like social work adjacent). I tried to use it today, when our offices opened and my boss said “let me think” before finally agreeing. My car is coated in a sheet of ice. I’m also disabled and can’t chip it out!

Oh jeez!! I was very lucky that my boss let me off when I looked outside and saw 3 inches on the roads, I’m not essential though but the company insists on rain or shine
