Working in corporate at 25 yrs old means being bullied by 40 yrs old for not being good enough but they refuse to train the next gen workforce and decide to just make us feel like shit for not being good enough

Fuckin hit the nail in this post. It’s such a strange pattern that I have noticed. The older generation grew up with horrific traditions that they have this believe that that is the only way to be an inefficient worker. It’s embedded in their minds in the corporate world, as if we have dance around the truth. In some ways it’s exactly that whole “well I went through the initiation, I finally get to import one” *with saliva drooling down their mouth*

Nah fr people need to learn how to teach. I see coworkers around me getting bad at the new guy but hey dumbass you didn’t teach him that and if you did you did a terrible jobs. I tell people it’s our fault for teaching your poorly or not teaching you at all

Yeah that and instilling the bad habits on each next generation of workers so nothing ever gets fixed in corporate too

Yes and then instilling toxic cultures too. “I was poorly trained and had a shitty start to my career therefore you should too”

That too, I got into a ton of fights in my last corporate internships because I did everything better than the ways people tried to teach me and I was recognized + received raises for it, but at the cost of me constantly getting in arguments with people with more experience.

It just didn’t make sense to me to keep doing shit in the dumbest ways possible. I ended up cussing out one of my direct bosses and asked my coworkers if they even had actual thoughts, or if they just liked wasting my time 💀. I got an offer to return and told them they needed to up it to above entry level it if I was already performing at the same level as their regular multi year experience employees
