My new job had the HR guy go to ER right before I was supposed to start orientation. Just found out that the person that was delegated scheduling tried to give me TWO WEEKS before my next shift so best believe I raised a stink. They “say” they’ll fix it

If it weren’t for this job being the best paying out of all the ones I was looking at I wouldn’t have put up with this much. After he went to the ER the company pushed orientation back a week in hopes he would be back in time and he wasn’t. They’ve been scrambling to get us filed as employees and trained because apparently this guy is the only HR in the entire store and now someone at a neighboring store tried to give me two weeks with no shifts? Manager said he will get it fixed before the end

of the week but I just want to know what that one person was smoking thinking two weeks of nothing was a good schedule. Absolutely insane behavior
