It’s funny how we only get one life And somehow we’ve built a system where most of it is spent trying to afford a life we barely have time to live

People can very easily choose to live a more affordable life but they’re going to sacrifice something. Not everyone is willing to sacrifice

You CAN choose to eat next to nothing and eat ramen every night… you CAN choose a $900 apartment instead of a $1600 one.. just saying we have control. NGL I can barely afford my house right now but I love where I live so I make it work. But I can easily choose to move somewhere cheaper? I just choose not to.

And then eventually you’ll get a myriad of health issues from your poor diet and the toxins in your apartment. Just cause something is cheaper now doesn’t mean it won’t cost you later. There’s a reason people in lower socioeconomic circles have worse health outcomes.

$900 is ridiculously high already

High fir where?? I guess it depends on where you are living. I’m pretty sure we are arguing the exact same thing.

High by my standards/pay. I’d be lucky to find anything but a falling-apart dump at that price where I live

Dawg i can barely afford rent after I’ve split a place with 5 roommates. Despite this it is still on the really low end of rent per person for the entire city. We need socialism
