Like think about it, the history we learn in school about America leaves out a lot of really bad shit that America did in the past. And I mean we learn about the bad stuff like segregation and slavery but a lot of the specific details are left out. ALSO school is a way for the government to get us used to conformity without them even having to do the work. Just put a bunch of kids in a room together for years at a time and they quickly ostracize the “weird kids” and anyone who doesn’t fit into

People have also compared the very structure of the classroom to the panopticon where the teacher can surveil the students. And the structure of a class schedule, the bell was actually adopted from factories that during the Industrial Revolution used a bell to signal breaks and shift changes

Even in terms of like entertainment and leisure, it’s all just to make it bearable/keep us distracted from the fact that we are being exploited for labor. And we are privileged we do have it a lot better compared to other exploited workers. But we are all just bodies. It’s why pro-naturalist policy is being pushed so hard, they need more bodies to keep being produced
