“State ID” means “ID issued by the state” but passports are issued by the United States, not whatever state you live in

I have a medical card I just didnt bring it with me because for months all I needed was my passport and they could look up my med card on file

In some states it’s the law that they need the ID your medical card is filed with. That’s how it is here in Ohio at least

In maine it just matters you have an id and some spots they require a maine id
