Because I’m slowly getting short term memory loss 😔

I’ve honestly been starting to quit weed, bc studies are showing it’s really neurodegenerative, like it literally can give permanent iq loss and memory issues. That’s with excessive use though, tbh I learned that it’s something that should be treated like alcohol: occasionally/on the weekends is fine; daily is problematic.

Not if you do it a lot. Especially if you do it as a teen, it permanently damages your brain. It should be treated like drinking, if you need to smoke everyday/be high to function, you’re an addict. On the weekends/a few times a week is fine. The only exception is medicinal uses (though most “medical” users are just recreational users that got approved by a doctor)

I mean, if you wanna deny objective facts and studies that’s on you. I used to be and sometimes am a daily smoker (I’ve been abstinent for a week), bc it makes me feel normal. But that tendency is why I’m an addict, if you smoke it daily, you’re an addict and are gonna have memory problems later on. Not to mention, constantly feeling content from weed makes you lazy and start to ignore your goals (I know this from experience).

What studies are these studies paid for by anti weed lobbyists like yiu?

Lmao, “science isn’t true because I disagree with it”. I’m also a stoner, have said that multiple times, and broke AF, so idk how I’m a “lobbyist”. No, this is multiple studies, I’ve read them on my own and for my class specifically talking about drugs and alcohol (in a sociological way). If you wanna smoke weed, that’s fine I still smoke on occasion, but acting like doing a drug a lot daily will have no negative effects is just stupid.

And I’m not “anti-weed” either lmao. I literally said some smoking is fine. I’m just saying that treating it as a harmless miracle plant is blatantly wrong and doing it daily and at work is addict behavior. The Overton window on weed went from really bad to “no bad side effects”. We’re now realizing that the truth of weed lies somewhere in the middle (though it is far better than alcohol imo).

If you think you need a PhD to read studies and have an opinion, then idk what to tell you. Like have you seen any studies showing that weed is completely harmless? If not, why are you comfortable just assuming it’s completely harmless?

Hall, W. and Degenhardt, L. (2014), The adverse health effects of chronic cannabis use. Drug Test. Analysis, 6: 39-45. https://analyticalsciencejournals.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/dta.1506 . I am a sociology undergrad who is involved in research on campus, but I literally found this for free on google scholar. You don’t even have to be in college let alone a PhD lmao. Girl, just say you’re lazy and incapable of accepting that smoking weed isn’t all roses.

Google scholar has cheap unreliable sources compared to actual search engines

Lmao, read the source yourself. Google Scholar has a lot of articles, good and bad literally recommended by my professor. What is an “actual search engine” lol. Like you keep moving the goalpost when I prove you wrong it’s pathetic. It’s literally a skill to evaluate sources.

And again, I’m not anti-weed. But now I’m shifting the burden of proof on to you, why are you okay with presupposing weed has no negative effects? You haven’t proven that either, every study I’ve read has shown worsening of mental health conditions, mental health, academic performance.
