The DSM-5's CHS definition is almost never followed, where thousands of people simply experiencing nausea or occasional vomiting have been diagnosed with CHS despite almost none of them actually experiencing hyperemesis (cyclic, excessive vomiting). Instead of identifying people with real, manifested CHS and identifying key variables beyond cannabis alone, they've confounded the entirety of the syndrome's population data.
