So the government couldn’t pay for them a hotel for the night??? But Ice gets to stay in nice hotels while our troops sleeping on the cold hard floors in airports! I bet other countries laugh at our military right now, this is ridiculous..

I don’t know if you know a lot about the military or national guard - they’re usually not treated to massive luxury in any administration

Not defending them at all but I guarantee if ICE slept in a public place like an airport they’d wake up and be covered in some random persons diarrhea. Given how hated they are it’s not surprising they don’t do this stuff in public.

ICE is a government agency with a pretty decent budget - the military is pretty frugal with spending on soldiers lodgings (They spend all their money on 2k a pop coffee mugs and the child-threshers 5000 for deployment in the Middle East). ICE is an alphabet soup agency that has money to spare.

They both work for the government they should be able to have the same amount of a “budget” I mean if you ask me the military is literally fighting for our country, don’t you think they should be treated better, they’re being treated like literal prisoners..

No federal agencies have separate budgets from national guard and the military. They have separate pools of money to pull from

Yes but there is a bureaucracy that operates on a silo’d esc system. It’s more complex than the government having one bank account they pull money from. It’s really interesting actually, I can recommend a few videos if you’d like?
