Hantavirus media coverage is just fearmongering. The CDC already stated that the virus has very low human-human transmissibility. Only people who need to worry are people who live in rat-infested areas (sorry NYC)

The andes virus, a specific strain of the hantavirus and the strain that the cruise ship was affected with, is absolutely transmissible through person to person. It is the ONLY strain that goes from person to person, and we know this because multiple people not on that cruise still got sick with it. My god y’all don’t do your research.

Coming back again to say that although is does spread person to person, it’s still harder to contract than, say, the flu or Covid. But it’s definitely person to person, and you rlly gotta get that shit set straight. At least one person not on that cruise has already died from this disease.
