I really want to know why so many Dems think Gavin Newsom is the most electable Dem for 2028.

I’m not one of those libs but I can see why they choose him over like, Shapiro or Harris. He’s positioned himself as the face of the Liberal Opposition against the second Trump administration, he’s been the loudest of those types of politicians in speaking out

I’d say among more establishment figures I agree but I do think overall Bernie and AOC have been far more outspoken and have been doing more to meet people where they’re at with the anti-oligarchy rallies. But yeah among establishment figures he has been the face of resist Trump.

I don’t think the DNC libs would consider Bernie one of them. AOC I’m 50/50 on but either way it’s easier for them to vote for an Angry Neolib like Newsom than do a little self reflection about how our current economic system got us here and vote for a DemSoc like AOC sadly.
