I live in an area with lots of frogs and crickets. I’ve been saving dead ones and freeze drying them for years. I probably have around a thousand pounds of freeze dried crickets alone. I’ve been anticipating this for a long time and I’ll be ready

Fertilizer shortages, the tariffs that are destroying US farmers, large billionaire bailouts to farmers. Tons of other reasons too

Note that families can’t file for Chapter 12 if the majority of their income is not from farming (yet off-farm income becomes important for surviving economic downturns)

Don’t sleep on diesel. Some farms already secured fertilizer before prices went up (seems to vary significantly by region, the south might be in trouble) https://www.fb.org/market-intel/farm-bureau-survey-reveals-real-impact-of-fertilizer-availability-and-price Diesel prices are up by over 50% since this war started. That will probably where the pain comes from first
