Why do a lot of pro-Ukraine people tend to be pro-Israel? I understand there is *nuance* and a lot of people detest both Russia and Israel, but c’mon, there is definitely a link there

It’s just people that align with American government foreign policy tbh. There’s no real ideological justification beyond “which government does America like”

I’ve never understood why the Left likes Ukraine so much. They too have committed grave war crimes by targeting Russian residential buildings. They too are a very corrupt regime. Had Biden not invited Ukraine to join NATO, this war would have never started. Moreover, had Europe stopped buying Russian Gas (which Trump warned them not to do as early as 2017), Putin wouldn’t have been emboldened to invade Ukraine.

None of those things justify an invasion

This is why the right is okay with invading countries and killing international innocent souls

Correct. It should have never happened. Putin is the most responsible. Europe and Biden also made grave mistakes.

Then why is it surprising that the left supports Ukraine? They’re the victims of a the Russian invasion, it’s natural to want to help them.

I think the point they’re trying to get across is that Putin invaded because the US wanted them in NATO, which Russia perceives as a threat. Therefore the US is the one that got Ukraine into this position. That’s being generous to Putin though and assuming he wouldn’t have some other justification to invade if the timeline were different and Ukraine was never offered a spot in NATO

Maybe it’s that simple. That makes sense

You’re right. The war started under Obama in 2014. Which begs the question why Europe, 12 years later, is still buying Russian Gas… supporting Russia’s war effort. Trump warned them in 2017. Actually, it began in 2008 when George Bush invited Georgia to join NATO, triggering a Russian intervention. In 2022, Biden did the same… once again triggering a Russian intervention.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. You can’t say Putin hasn’t been predictable and abundantly about the “red lines” of the Russian Federation

Ukraine may be the victim, but Europe is the enabler and the US was the agitator

lol the US was not the agitator. Ukraine wanted a pro-western stance, they elected that government.
