Some Democrats in Congress (who also happen to be veterans): IF Trump gives soldiers ANY orders that are ILLEGAL/UNCONSTITUTIONAL, the soldiers should do the right thing and NOT oblige, because the military serves our NATION and our CONSTITUTION and NOT the president Trump (the president)(who is also not a veteran): THIS IS TREASON AND THE DEMOCRATS THAT SAID THIS SHOULD BE EXECUTED How could this possibly be considered acceptable…?

Has anyone watched the full video of the house democrats literally calling for a mutiny by the military? That is what is being referred too. The media just plays god when it comes to what information gets out to cause disruption. Mutiny is considered treason under US law and is punishable by death. I don’t think death is necessary just removal from Congress.

I hate that they say “unspecified” it’s any unlawful order. They swore an oath to uphold the constitution and therefore have the right to refuse any and all unlawful orders. They want to divide us so fucking bad and he called to KILL democrats

I think when they say that they mean they weren’t pointing to any specific order from Trump. They were just saying soldiers should, Which makes his statement even more insane, bc he’s not disagreeing about if an order is illegal or not he’s disagreeing that they should disobey illegal orders.

Yeah so they specifically said that the soldiers have the right to not comply with UNLAWFUL orders. The key word they used was unlawful, specifically any order that did not fall in line with their oath to the constitution. All military personnel swear an oath to the constitution, not the president. If the president gives an order that is in conflict with the constitution (like a majority of trumps orders) then they have not only a right but a duty to not comply

They weren’t giving some narrow reminder about “unlawful orders.” The way they framed it implied the military should ignore the administration entirely - that’s why people called it inciting a mutiny. There’s a big difference between citing the UCMJ and publicly suggesting the military shouldn’t follow the Commander-in-Chief. You can’t add the word “unlawful” after the fact to make it sound normal.

That is one of the punishments for inciting a mutiny. That’s a fact. And no this is not about soldiers breaking the law it’s about Forgoing all given principles our military follows bc orange man is the worst human being on earth apparently.

I never said for them to die, if you can read I said I don’t think death is necessary or even should be considered. I said they should be removed from congress. Starting from “this administration is - to - against American citizens” Directly accusation Orange man’s administration is illegally deploying the military against Us citizens Then from “like us - to - right here at home” they doubled down on the claim that this administration is a threat to our constitution - next comment

That in it self is not illegal to say, but the trouble comes from the context they are creating Finally from “you must refuse -or this constitution” This is true in isolation but given the context already created it’s pushing me towards the mutiny standing.

Also it felt like a more of a call to action, bc if you watch the rest of the video from that end point. In summary they are saying we need you to do this, and don’t worry we have your back. We can agree to disagree but this is very dangerous language given the political landscape right now.

That’s what you’re currently defending that was what the president was calling for. Those all true statements. The context is completely true why would you be worried about soldiers hearing that?

Also it doesn’t make sense. If the context isn’t true, which it absolutely is, why would they refuse orders? Shouldn’t the orders not even happen bc the context isn’t true?

If that was true I don’t think the congresspersons would make that video appealing to the soldiers to their moral and legal obligations per their own oath to the constitution

Sure I honestly don’t get the disconnect that’s happening here then. No other president has called for people in congress to be hanged right? That’s pretty extraordinarily bad. No other president has sent the guard to multiple major cities that don’t politically align with him against the wishes of governors. That also seems historically bad. He’s been president for the two largest shut downs in U.S. history that also seems historically bad.

No other president to my knowledge has sent people to a prison camp in another country without due process that also seems historically bad. No other president has attempted to stop the peaceful transfer of power. If you’re a big history guy I feel like it should be especially apparent how bad he is.

Maybe Guantánamo is the only historic comparison with cecot. But even that happened bc of the actual crisis of 9/11 not a manufactured crisis of Venezuelan gangs.

But the Japanese interment was a national tragedy and we gave out over a billion dollars bc it was such a tragedy. That also again was bc of ww2 not a manufactured crisis. So again it seems historically bad or at the very least aligned with other historic tragedies. Dueling isn’t the same as executing people lol.
