Yikes the amount of open Islamophobia is so rampant & crazy. When both politicians & the left are openly Islamophobic with 0 repercussions stuff like this shouldn’t be surprising. It’s funny because Muslim in the U.S. are far more liberal then white ✝️

I am sure regardless American Muslims are probably better than white evangelicals on those issues

I guess it probably varies issue by issue, as is often the case for other groups in America. Black Americans tend to be more homophobic than white Americans but obviously are more progressive on racial and economic issues.

That’s also not true but is something that’s constantly reported. Black Americans don’t tend to be more homophobic then white Americans. Most of that comes from limited studies done before the 2000’s

Black people tend to be more supportive of pro LGBTQ laws protecting against them being discriminated against then white people.

I’ve seen stuff saying that black Americans tend to be more supportive of anti-discrimination protections but less supportive of same-sex marriage itself. Which I think is really fascinating and reflects that they know conservatives trying to legally discriminate against gay people is just a wedge to eventually get to racial discrimination.

Though actually you’re right the pew study I saw that from is from 2014. That’s assuredly outdated

Yeah it’s really hard to say due to how outdated most of the studies are. Although I also believe that most black people regardless of their personal beliefs know what being marginalized & discriminated against feels like & looks like so that’s way they’re constantly more so in support of laws that protect marginalized communities then white people & other groups even if it isn’t directly targeted at black people.

Plus how you mentioned the obvious if they take away rights from one group they will take away rights for you next belief as well.
