They aren’t the ones going “the current stuff is embarrassing, let’s avoid it for now.” It’s just the direction that the media goes, and let’s face it, the people who are driving these narratives are much more selfish than the average consumer of their media. They profit off of understanding the inherent weakness’s of their own arguments and changing the focal point so that people stay ignorant.
