If the angle is “deport as many violent criminals as we can,” why concentrate all your resources in areas where you know people will protest and riot against you? Where you have to dedicate people to riot control and moving crowds of people who are out peacefully protesting your presence? If it’s not clear to you that this is a concerted demonstration of power and recklessness to instill fear, I don’t know what else to tell you
