hard-working person (with a family and established life) to be sent to a country that they have no grounding in, to essentially start over completely. if they have a brain and a soul they’ll say yes to those two questions then i finish it off with this— so then should we really be cheering for this. i can understand the need for deporting actual criminals, actual bad people, but there is not enough justification for the evil being done to people who’s biggest crime is a matter of paperwork

The reality is that the vast majority of immigrants legal and otherwise are not criminals, after all they literally commit crimes at a lower rate than the native born citizens. It’s always been about racism.
