As I child and pre-college man I always thought about the Winston Churchill quote that my dad told me ‘If You Are Not a Liberal When You Are Young, You Have No Heart, and If You Are Not a Conservative When Old, You Have No Brain.’ I no longer agree

It’s an anecdote to justify people losing their compassion as they age. You get to ignore all the problems of the world because you’re older and that is a shitty ideology

Agreed. I guess there isn’t much relevance. I just find it interesting how often I see that quote used, even within my political science courses in college, when I see no truth to it.
