But the intifadas in Israel, while they started as an honorable peaceful women’s movement, ended up involving the killing of innocent Israelis. It was always going to lead to more killing.

Zionism is frankly a buzzword used to make a moral judgment of people. It mattered in the days of the Balfour Declaration, but it doesn’t now, because Israel already exists. The belief in the right to jewish self determination and a term that means uprising are very different things.

zionism is, by definition, the establishment, development, and protection of a jewish state in israel. we had the establishment in 1948, and its still in development, since its still expanding, and what is existing is being protected. not really sure what kinda buzzword you want to make it when it fits exactly with what i said before, maybe better for some people who needed a refresher

israel could also end the war big whoop parties involved could make it stop. israel has done many things in attempt of QUIET not peace, lmfao. it was quiet before october 7th but far from peaceful. peace wouldnt require having soldiers in tanks, who then get proclaimed as "innocent and kidnapped from their tank"
