Absolutely not. Preventing a child from suffering for an entire lifetime before they can even feel pain is the most ethical choice imo

As someone currently in medical school, I think it depends just how severe we’re talking. If they don’t even have a brain? Yeah I’d save the parents the emotional and financial trauma of birthing the child in the hospital only to bury it anyway within a few days. If it’s something like they ended up with congenital parvovirus then let that baby live it’ll get treatment

Also, although my religion is against abortion in most cases, I respect the patient’s autonomy and unless they ask for my personal (not professional) opinion I won’t try and push them either way for a decision. I personally will not be performing abortions bc I want to go into cardiology but I would refer to a colleague who does (if it’s permitted by the state)
