I think the idea that the lower classes shouldn’t pay taxes is kinda slopulism. Yes maybe they shouldn’t pay that much, but everyone pays tax. The issue is that the rich *dont* pay taxes at least not comparatively

Yeah since that’s how a social safety net works But everyone should pay taxes, we should just lower / get rid of regressive taxes like Social Security or Sales taxes (Social security tax is currently regressive since if you make more than $176k you are not taxed on that)

(Don’t get rid of social security tax, just remove the cap and make rich people pay it too)
