from what i’m reading this was a MASSIVE fuckup and the FAA closed the airspace until JUNE so they can sort this shit out

i mean 2 weeks ago they announced they were shutting the airspace firm TX to NM down for 10 days bc of a cartel drone getting shot down and it was reopened less than 12 hours later. i imagine this is another nothing burger

Because it was ground news I was like “this must be some AI hallucination, no way they shut down an international airport for 4 months” lol. Looks like it’s an area about 50 miles from the airport, so not as big of a deal but still crazy

On the other hand, fort bliss (where that first laser was tested) is right next to the airport, so that was still insane 😭 they were going to shut down the airport for 2 weeks
