I completely understand this point but I think two different rackets happen to be going on at the same time. Trump is suing his own government as well as universities at the same time that he’s accepting bribes to pay for his ballroom. There’s some plausible deniability to say that taxpayers therefore aren’t paying for the ballroom but I think that’s sort of splitting hairs. We’re paying for it one way or another
