Move the army age to 21, move voting and gun ownership to 21 and I think a hell of a lot of problems are solved

Yeah I agree with that. I think that gang members and violent offenders will just buy from the black market and get them from friends though so I don’t know how to stop that.

Gun buyback programs? Which opens the door to checking guns used in other violent crimes, so not a great outcome on an alright idea. Getting more punitive about these things doesn’t help. Bout the only thing I can think of is finding the US gun stores that sell weapons over the border with no background checks.

Yeah some of them are bought at a store. Also brought across the boarder and could be got right from the manufacturer. People produce guns all over the world

I was talking more on a broad level about how if people want something (like guns) new production and trade routes will emerge even if it’s illegal and how it’s really hard to stop. What you’re talking about is a very specific claim. Wheres your evidence that most flow is from Texas to Mexico. Also how do you get accurate numbers if it’s illegal and people hide illegal things?

i don’t necessarily think voting needs to be increased to 21. we haven’t seen ANY evidence showing that there is something wrong with letting people 18-21 vote. But I would agree if you suggested imposing an age cap on voting (like somewhere around 80 or 85)
