so are we gonna start accepting any small incremental steps towards progress for the 2028 election or is it gonna be all or nothing and a republican win

The establishment has to end, I will take anyone so long as they are not bought out by Israel and will actually take steps towards improving American lives over corporate interests

so the answer is a republican win then because if they don't denounce israel then they won't get your vote and chances are they will not do that

ya just wanted to confirm that a republican will win so I don't start getting my hopes up lol

If the DNC is so incompetent they cannot produce a candidate that the people will actually vote for then all hope is lost. You are blaming the wrong people for the wrong things

Hopefully enough people wisen up, 2028 is still a ways away. I’ll take the wimpiest establishment dem over jd vance if it comes to it

dnc could produce someone who says they will do things for us, but if they don't denounce israel then they won't get votes... like the democratic nominee could say i'm gonna tax the rich, but never speak a word about israel and since he never denounced it then a republican will win bc that one sentence is more important

Seeing as the data shows that is the single most important issue facing blue voters, yes you are correct. The DNC canned a report explicitly showing Harris lost because of a refusal to denounce Israel

These mfs would vote for a kl*nsman if he denounced Israel I bet 🤣🤣🤣

ya I just want some small progress but it seems as if that is the minority lol refusal to take anything but the absolute best will destroy us

see but isn't that kinda wild like a candidate could give out insanely detailed things on how he's gonna help the working class and have plans and blah blah blah but not saying that one sentence will cost the entire thing...

and then instead of those detailed plans, we get a republican simply bc they didn't say "fuck israel" like that's crazy to me but

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if a virulent racist still got some votes bc they denounced Israel

I think a Dem win is inevitable after this current administration, but a refusal to condemn Israel is going to seriously hurt any candidate running blue. That isn’t just my opinion, that’s what the data shows so regardless of what either of us think it’s a very simple strategy that should be easy to follow

I would hope Americans are smart enough to not fall for that trick

well ya I think it would be easy, but there's also a large independent base that they've gotta think about and the republicans who are fed up. it's like they've gotta find a way to say that to appeal to everyone, but whatever they say won't be good enough for some people although it's what they have to say in front of cameras regardless of their true thoughts and ahhh it's all infuriating

If these next two years go as poorly as I think they will then all the Dems have to do is not run another Biden

brother our country voted in trump, we are surely dumb enough to fall for that unfortunately

why would we ever trust someone with some level of loyalty to a illiberal, far-right state that is committing genocide and drags us into pointless, murderous wars? it’s a massive red flag that you can be bought by anyone who pays enough, not to mention it shows you have no morals

If they do what you want they’ll lose. Elections have never been about winning over moderates or the other party’s members, but about getting your people to actually go and vote. And for the record independents hate Israel too (and a meaningful part of Republicans). It’s really only evangelicals (antisemitic death cult), like half of Jewish people (a small voting bloc) and the military industrial complex (the main reason we support Israel) that like Israel.

It would unironically be better for JD Vance to win in this circumstance. If a pro-Israel, conservative dem were to beat Vance, in 4 years we’d have the second coming of Hitler as president. Trump is the symptom not the disease, he is the direct result of neo-liberalism not working. Unless there is actual change, fascists will continue winning, and unlike Trump they will likely be both ideologically motivated, and reasonably competent.

There is zero circumstance where a MAGA Republican winning is better. Plus I really don’t want to be hearing from his smarmy behind for 4 years

It’s literally a fact dude. If Gavin Newsom or whoever else is president, we are getting someone infinitely worse than Trump in 4 years after the conservative Dem does nothing and gets blamed for Trump’s bad economy. Your so called incremental progress is one step forward 10 steps back, dems will take 10 years just to undo Trump’s damage, let alone to actually make net improvements. Vance is setting himself up to run as an anti-war candidate in opposition to a fervently zionist democrat.

I mean obviously, I’m not saying I want him to be president, I’m just describing the political consequences for this country if we manage to elect the exact same kind of politicians that led to Trump the first time around

Vance can go on as many podcasts as he wants to and complain about war, he was the one who failed in peace talks vs Iran while Trump and Rubio were yukking it up at a UFC fight (not that that last part matters). I do agree with you that Dems should do better in picking a nominee tho

I’m not saying Vance is actually anti war (he believe’s in nothing). It just seems like he’s preparing to try to flank the Dems on the war issue “I was always against the Iran War”, and I am pretty confident that if Dems nominate an Israel-loving warhawk, that it might work. Dems for instance massively hate Israel right now, but one of the only major public figures talking about Israel is Tucker Carlson (an antisemite who is fine with what Israel is doing in principle)

Dems have to actually stand for something, and try to do something if they win, or else the backlash will just be even worse. Sort of like how Obama was a relative let down.

Yeah the Dems can’t let evil people like Tucker Carlson out flank them on stuff like Israel. Otherwise it will lead to a even worse outcome
