you guys suck dick. i’m allowed to vote for who i want, i don’t support the democrat candidates, i have a spine. you like babies in palestine getting raped and killed? you can support that. i think that’s awful and KNOW the DNC supports it. democrats will always roll over rather than standing their ground and i hope the party does bcs of it.

Because not voting only serves to work against your own interests. State and local races are some of the most important races in the country. They’re the ones that impact your home turf more directly. You choosing not to vote doesn’t do anything, it doesn’t help anyone, all it does is create space for someone like MAGA to take your space and vote on your behalf.

Early voting exists, voting by mail exists, ballot places usually run in person for an entire week before polls close. If you’re already making excuses to avoid engaging, then you were never able to be convinced.

So let me get this straight. You’re letting a single issue affect someone’s chances at gaining power even if that means aiding in the reversal of trump policies that kill or hurt people?

upvote 3 downvote
default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> OP 1d

Catholics are by doctrine not allowed to vote for a pro abortion candidate because abortion is considered the preeminent issue

upvote -1 downvote
default user profile icon

Pro abortion doesn’t exist. That’s a great way to excuse not caring about other people. It’s also idiotic to assume you can’t vote for someone who you agree with MOSTLY

It is, literal, Catholic Doctrine that says I’m not allowed to vote for a pro choice candidate UNLESS it is a race between 2 pro choice candidates

So just understand this. I view abortion as murder, just like this war in Iran is causing murder. The Iran war has killed 7,000 Iranians Abortion in the US kills over 1.1 million per year. What issue do you think would take priority in my view if I view both as equal wrongs?

The one that’s crushing children’s skulls with thousands of pounds of concrete. And burning people alive, while their loved ones starve from the destruction of their farms. Their pain seems more torturous, you’d disagree?

Alright I was being nice but dawg let’s be real your argument is full of fallacies and your gotcha points even suck ass. If someone views abortion as murder then 1.1 million will outweigh 7,000. Comparing a death toll of like 500,000 to 50,000 ok that might be reasonable.

they had no chance of winning, as evidenced by the landslide election. they lost the popular vote and every single swing state. Democrats won in 2020 because they actually ran on policy positions, things like student loan forgiveness and the Green New Deal (which Democrats could not even pass bc they cannot even maintain party discipline)

You’re not mentioning the hundreds of thousands of people who will lose healthcare thanks to the BBB, the millions of animals, the children who’ve been taken off snap, the USAID cuts that will cut disease prevention in different countries. Factor in those deaths, those generally slow and painful deaths

15 million americans will lose healthcare, so no. while we’re talking about republican policies we can bring up how Trumps admin cut the queer suicide hotline (although I’m sure to you that’s good). At least 50k a month used it. To talk to someone so that they wouldn’t kill themselves, according to the CGD 700K are expected to die from USAID cuts, although by 2030 they expect that number globally to rise to 14 million.

Factor in the 22K deaths studied by bloomberg that came from environmental cuts, Researchers found pulling back health subsidies, weakening Affordable Care Act (ACA) coverage, and underfunding public health infrastructure contributed to 461,000 excess U.S. deaths. So factor those in.
