I think a big part of the rightward shift online is the fact that in the last few years a huge chunk of the developing world has gone online, and most of these people come from very conservative and traditional communities

Ya when I realized the majority of libertarians (minus the classical liberal caucus libertarians) are a bunch of schizoids who don’t actually stand for individualism (in the personal freedom sense) I started to distance myself from them back in early to mid 2023

I see less schizos in that group more so than I just see Republicans that want weed, machine guns, and no income tax. Definitely not nation builders.
