I don’t think it’s racist to acknowledge that H1B workers are taken advantage of and that something needs to be done (preferably through regulating equitable compensation) it is racist to make allegations of “Indian takeovers” and to propose solutions that are about limiting hiring by ethnicity instead of the root cause of the inequity

Imagine if there was a post about Hispanic takeover of Texas and the top comment was saying “this isn’t about race, it’s about illegal immigrants working for cheap and ruining the economy”

Isn’t this true for all immigration? Why focus on immigrants who have relatively high levels of education?

it is true at all levels of education, but the discourse considers immigration of “unskilled” workers and H1B workers to be threats for different reasons
