
More people die from heat related deaths in Europe than people die from gun violence in the US. Despite both types of deaths being avoidable, they focus on American gun deaths instead of their own completely avoidable heat deaths (which have increased from both climate change causing extreme temp cycles and laws limiting the use of ac in many places)
I mean Tbf their problem is pretty complicated, installing ac in old ass cities is very complex. Also gotta think about how much reworking they’d need to do so that their power grid could support it. Our issue could be largely solved with the passage of a single law or set of laws. So I sorta get why our issue is so much dumber
