Bro so did I, for an embarrassingly long time. In a way I sorta get clinging to it, if you can believe in a morally upright America you can feel less repulsed at the things you see every day which are obviously unnecessary and horrific

Fs, not saying we’re the first. Tbf tho most history classes don’t completely shy away from calling colonizers of the past what they are, American empire usually gets the rose colored glasses
