I’m saying neither are okay and DONT DO THEM but also do not compare them because they derive power differently. One man killing someone unjustly is not the same as the government lawfully slaughtering criminals in front of a crowd. Why do you all have the comprehension skills of a walnut? Nobody should watch someone on tv die. Shouldn’t have happened with Charlie and it should not happen with this terrorist. It’s not about them it’s about the children who see and the ritualization of violence

Because an assassination is a killing outside legal judicial processes. An execution is according to law and performed by the state. It’s single person vs. entire state. One man doesn’t have the power the state does. The issue is that state authorization changes the legal status of a killing, but it doesn't automatically change its moral character. They are moving the goalpost of what is legally permissible and that’s dangerous. The OOP is ignoring that incredibly important distinction
